Privacy
Brum Roulette is built to need as little about you as possible. No account, no email address to use it, no advertising trackers, and your location is never asked for unless you choose a Near me wheel.
What stays on your phone
Your night's history, saved favourites, custom forfeits, sound setting and earlier private ratings are kept in this browser on this device. We can't see them. You can wipe them any time with Delete my data on this phone, or by clearing your browser's site data.
Your location
We never ask for your location when the site opens. If you build a Near me wheel, your position is held in memory, sent to our walking-route provider (openrouteservice) to work out walking times, and not saved. Station wheels use the station's position, not yours.
Ratings and spin counts
When you rate a pub after tapping We're here, your rating counts anonymously towards that pub's shared score; changing it replaces your earlier vote. The total number of spins on the site is counted without any personal information.
Group wheels
If you start or join a group, the names you type and the group's spins are shared with the people in that group. Groups need no account and expire on their own, within 12 hours.
Things you choose to send us
If you report a problem with a pub, send a venue photo or make an enquiry through List your venue, we receive what you type or attach. Enquiries and attachments are stored privately for up to 180 days. Photos are reviewed before anything is published. Venue teams who manage their own listing receive one-off sign-in links by email.
Behind the scenes
The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which processes standard technical data such as IP addresses to deliver and protect the site, and to limit abuse. We don't sell or share your information with anyone for advertising.
Questions
Brum Roulette is run by Mark McTernan in Birmingham. For any question about your data, use the feedback link on the site or the enquiry form on List your venue. Brum Roulette is for adults aged 18 and over.
